In the musical, WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO THE RAILWAY CHILDREN, Bobbie, the sixteen year old, who is falling in love with Reggie the stationmaster's son, is questioned by Miss McFadden, the local school-teacher, about Reggie.  Bobbie reveals that she has strange feelings for Reggie.  In the exchange between them, Miss McFadden reveals that she too has had similar feelings  - for the local Doctor who(she is regretting) seems to be falling in love with Mother(Bobbie's mother)!
