From the musical, WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO THE RAILWAY CHILDREN,  Miss McFadden,  the schoolteacher tells the children  that, as summer approaches, people may travel to far-off lands but she asserts that England is their home and they should be proud of it.

You can travel the world, Go from east to the west,  When you come home you know,That wherever you go here the summer is best. Close your eyes for a while, think of fields in the sun, it’s not really so far, if you think that you are walking out in the sun                                                                          Summer is coming, it’s not far away, think of the good times, there’s nothing like summer in our place, you can be lazy, run crazy down lanes, don’t want to go? surely you know, yes, you do know! This is England, this place is where you were born, It is ours, it belongs to us, in your heart you’ll find your home!
